FAQ

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We get that plans can change! Cancellations made at least 14 days before the event start date will receive a full refund (minus any ticketing or processing fees).
If you cancel within 14 days of the event, we’re unfortunately unable to offer a refund, as all logistics, permits and group costs are finalised by then.

If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend (just let us know their details at least 48 hours prior to the event).

Please note that some multiday or premium trips may have longer cancellation periods due to accommodation, catering and third-party partner requirements. If this applies, all relevant cancellation details will be clearly outlined in your confirmation email after registration.

  • What if the event is cancelled by Cool Girls Club?

If we ever need to cancel or postpone an event due to weather, park closures or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll be offered the option to transfer to a new date or receive a full refund minus any processing fees.

  • Can I get a refund if I’m sick or injured?

We completely understand that illness or injury can happen unexpectedly. For our day hikes, refunds are very difficult to process once we’re within 14 days of the event, even in cases of significant illness or injury, as all permits, logistics and guide costs are finalised in advance.

However, for higher-value or multiday events, if an illness or injury genuinely prevents safe participation, special consideration may be made on a case-by-case basis. In these situations, we’ll do our best to offer a partial refund, credit, or transfer where possible.

If this applies to you, please reach out to us at info@coolgirlsclub.com.au- we’ll always do our best to help where we can.

  • How do I request a cancellation or transfer?

Simply email info@coolgirlsclub.com.au with your booking details and reason for cancellation or transfer, and we’ll take it from there.

  • Can I come by myself?

Absolutely! In fact, most of our members join solo - it’s one of the best parts of Cool Girls Club. Our events are designed to make it easy to meet like-minded women, connect naturally and feel comfortable right from the start. You’ll never feel like the odd one out.

  • What if I’m new to hiking or camping?

You don’t need to be an expert! Each event listing clearly states the fitness level and difficulty so you can choose what’s right for you. We welcome beginners, and our guides are there to help with tips, encouragement and plenty of breaks along the way.

  • What should I bring?

Each event includes a gear list on the booking page and in your pre-event email. If you’re missing anything essential, we have gear hire options available for most multi-day trips (like tents, sleeping mats and Trangias).

  • Are meals provided?

It depends on the event! Some day hikes include morning tea, while overnight and premium trips generally include all meals (with dietary needs catered for). Always check the event description for what’s included.

  • What dietary requirements can you cater for?

We regularly cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and lactose-free diets, as well as those avoiding onion or garlic. Just make sure you include this information when booking so we can plan accordingly.

  • How are groups structured?

We keep our groups small and intimate - usually around 12–20 participants - to ensure everyone feels connected and supported. You’ll be guided by qualified leaders who are trained in group management and outdoor safety.

  • How fit do I need to be?

Each event has a difficulty rating (easy, moderate or challenging). Most of our community have an average fitness level, but if you’re comfortable walking for a few hours and enjoy being outdoors, you’ll be just fine.

  • Can I drive myself or do you offer transport?

Transport details are always listed on the event page. Many day hikes are public-transport accessible, while longer trips often include group transport from a central meeting point (like Katoomba or Hornsby Station). If you’d prefer to self-drive, that’s usually fine - just let us know when booking.

  • What’s the age range?

Cool Girls Club events are designed for women aged 18–40. This stage of life can be a tricky one - many women in this age range find themselves craving connection, but also feeling unsure, anxious or out of practice when it comes to making new friends.

That’s exactly why Cool Girls Club exists. We know how hard it can be to put yourself out there, especially if you’ve moved cities, changed jobs, or just haven’t found your people yet. Our events are built around creating a safe, supportive space where everyone arrives as strangers but leaves as friends.

  • Are your guides female?

Yes! All Cool Girls Club events are led by qualified female guides. On certain adventure collaborations (like canyoning or interstate trips), we also work with trusted outdoor partners who share our values and prioritise women’s comfort and safety.

  • How do I stay updated on upcoming events?

Follow us on Instagram @coolgirlsclub_au or sign up to our mailing list via the website to get first access to new hikes, campouts and retreats before they sell out.

  • Who can I contact if I have more questions?

You can always reach out to us at info@coolgirlsclub.com.au- we’re more than happy to help!
