Why We’re Taking Our Time: NSW Parks Eco Pass Licensing

If you’ve been hanging out with Cool Girls Club for a while, you’ll know that we’ve been buzzing with ideas for bigger and bolder adventures. But you might also have noticed that some of our plans have been delayed — and a few have even been cancelled altogether. There’s a good reason for that, and it’s all about doing things the right way.

To run tours and experiences in NSW National Parks, we need something called an Eco Pass License. This license is more than just paperwork. It’s a commitment to operating responsibly, minimising our impact on the environment, and keeping every adventure as safe and sustainable as possible.

The application process is thorough (and honestly, a little time-consuming). It asks us to submit detailed risk management plans, environmental care strategies, emergency procedures, and staff training documents. While that means some of our events are on hold — and a few can’t go ahead at all — it also means that once we’re approved, we’ll be set up to deliver experiences that are not just fun and memorable, but also professional and future-proof.

So yes, it’s slowing us down now. But it’s also helping us build stronger foundations for the Cool Girls Club community. When you join us on an adventure, you can trust that every detail has been thought through, every safety box has been ticked, and that we’re doing right by the places we love to explore.

In the end, we think that’s worth the wait.
